Here at MacMurchie Bagpipe Makers we produce all of our bagpipes from the very best quality African Blackwood.
As we hand make all of the bagpipes from the block of wood to the finished product in our workshop, we can guarantee the highest quality bagpipe is passed on to you.
We also know that all pipers are different, therefore our bagpipes can be customised to your own requirements.
Do you want plain or engraved Nickel, Brass, Silver or even Gold Plate? The choice is yours in whatever you desire to make your bagpipe your own.
Our bagpipes are modelled on Blue’s own 1936 silver and ivory Henderson and we have also reproduced P/M Archie MacMurchie’s astonishing 1907 Henderson bagpipe. This give you the choice of style and sound, as each set has it’s own unique sound characteristics.

Pop’s Pipe
Pop’s pipe is a full reproduction of P/M Archie MacMurchie’s astonishing 1907 Henderson bagpipe. It comes fully combed and beaded in African Blackwood and Polypenco pipe chanter.

The DM1 is plain turned African Blackwood bagpipe with antique style projection mounts and Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM2
DM2 is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe with wooden projection mounts, Nickel stock and drone ferrules and Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM3
The DM3 is our most popular bagpipe model and is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe with Army regulation pattern projection mounts and Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM3B
Our DM3B is available fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe, but with button style projection mounts as pipes were in the 1800s and a Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM4
The DM4 is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe with Army regulation pattern projection mounts, Nickel drone slides and Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM4S
DM4S is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe with Army regulation pattern projection mounts. Hallmarked Engraved Silver drone slides. Imitation ivory and silver mouth piece and Silver chanter sole ferrule. Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM5
DM5 is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe with Imitation Ivory projection mounts and Nickel Ferrules. Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM6
Our DM6 is fully combed and beaded African Blackwood bagpipe complete with Imitation Ivory projection mounts also Nickel Ferrules & drone slides. Polypenco pipe chanter.
DM7A
The DM7A is fully combed and beaded bagpipe, half mounted in imitation ivory projection mounts and hand engraved sterling silver ferrules. Personalised sliver shield and African Blackwood pipe chanter.

DM7B
Our DM7B is fully combed and beaded, half mounted in imitation ivory projection mounts and engraved sterling silver plated ferrules. Engraved chanter sole ferrule fitted to an African Blackwood Pipe Chanter.

DM7C
Our DM7C bagpipe is fully combed and beaded, half mounted in Imitation ivory or Horn and engraved Brass mounts. Engraved Brass chanter sole ferrule on an African Blackwood Pipe Chanter.

DMHS
Our DMHS is a half size Highland bagpipe.
Option of either Plain turned or fully combed and beaded.
Half size pipe chanter with closer finger spacing and smaller holes.
We have designed the DMHS to be fully compatible with full size pipe chanters.
Available in Polypenco or African Blackwood.
All models available in imitation Ivory or Horn mounts and ferrules.
Models DM1-DM6 supplied with plastic pipe chanter.
Models DM3,4,4S,5,6,7A,7B & 7C are available with Army regulation projection mounts or button mounts
Nickel slides, ferrules and top caps are also available
